When an electric stove will not turn on, first check if the appliance power cord is plugged in and that all circuit breakers are on. You need to check the pilot light for gas models. If the stove power cord is plugged in or if the pilot light is burning, then a different part will need to be fixed. The reason for the problem could be an infinite switch, surface element, oven igniter or bake and broil element.

BURNER WON’T HEAT

A stove or burner or oven that doesn’t produce heat doesn’t do much. Your oven does not heat if there’s a broken oven sensor or bake element. Your burner will not turn on when an element is broken or the burner switch or terminal block do not work. We can repair these common problems in less than 1-2 hours after our arrival.

OVEN IS TOO HOT

You always want a hot oven. Just not too hot! If the oven heat is out of control, it might be because of a broken sensor or thermostat. Our appliance technicians know how to diagnose the cause of the problem and then fix it. Just be careful when troubleshooting this problem for fear of burns from the very high and unpredictable heat.

IGNITER WILL NOT LIGHT

A common stove issue is times where an igniter glows but it doesn’t light. The cause is from either a broken safety valve, electronic control, surface igniter or temperature sensor. We can determine whether we can fix these parts or if we need to replace the parts.

DOOR DOESN’T OPEN

Newer self-cleaning types of ovens can have door issues. The door will not open after the oven is done cleaning itself. We inspect the door closure, seal and thermostat to figure out why the door doesn’t open up and then we complete the repair so we can correct the problem.
